Leadership Update: CEO Shift
We are excited to announce that Gregory Landua has shifted his role at Regen Network to Chief Regeneration Officer, while Christian Shearer has stepped in as CEO.
Since August of 2017, Regen Network has been in development of an ecological contracting platform to help accelerate planetary regeneration. As you might be aware, both the early incubation of this project and leadership teams arose from Terra Genesis International, a regenerative design consultancy with deep ties to ecological agriculture and the natural products industry.
A hallmark of both Regen Network and Terra Genesis International is a culture of deep design and non-hierarchical leadership. As students of the Carol Sanford Institute, co-founders Christian Shearer and Gregory Landua seek to design every aspect of Regen Network’s development, leadership style, values, and products through a regenerative business lens and practice.
As a company, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment where our energy focus has narrowed from the big picture strategic positioning and visioning of the company to focus on product development and market adoption.
As a part of this process, we have made important adjustments to our leadership structure. Gregory Landua, co-founder and CEO of Regen Network, has assumed a new position as Chief Regeneration Officer (CRO). This enables Gregory to focus on deeper organizational development, business modeling, product design, and community building. Christian Shearer, co-founder and COO, now assumes the CEO role. Christian is focused on investor relations, partnerships and the growth of the company. Furthermore, an executive team has been established to help steward business development, including product development lead Sara DeMoitie, and Chief Technical Officer Aaron Craelius.
After nearly two years, Regen Network is well positioned to be the go-to platform for ecological agreements. Rigorous product development and piloting are now underway with a focus on the intersection of product market fit and real-world impact. Regen Network has sealed critical partnerships with industry leaders such as Cosmos in the blockchain space and the Rainforest Foundation in the ecological space. Our software engineers and science teams are working diligently to prepare an alpha version of our ecological contracting platform.
