Candidate Outcome

We successfully concluded our candidate for mainnet launch on April 6, 2021 and only a small need to fine tune the genesis file was required. Due to the hard work performed during the previous testnets by the community validators and the RND Inc team we are happy to announce that the chain operated perfectly and we are ready for launch on April 15, 2021!

Minor Changes

You can read more about the purpose of our one week candidate chain here however, to summarize, the main purpose of our candidate chain was to allow token holders to audit their wallet balance before launch.

The candidate proved to perform it’s job and a few minor changes were made to the genesis file, mainly parameter changes and a couple of allocation updates. The biggest change we made is 1 REGEN was airdropped to all addresses (to be used for staking / withdrawing rewards), except fully unlocked RND & Foundation addresses. The airdrop serves the purpose of paying for the initial gas fees when delegating to validators. Updating regen-prelaunch-1 genesis.tmpl.json to match the recently updated genesis params in #110 #103

Updating accounts.csv with necessary updates from the initial candidate chain account addresses & balances:

two missing token allocations were added

Tokens in RND’s Community Bootstrapping Fund decreased by 7207 REGEN, as this address was holding the extra funds for the missing token allocations

one token holder needed their addresses updated

two token holders needed their allocation split between two addresses

I’ve set a new genesis time for a second candidate chain to occur at: 2021-04-09T16:00:00Z.

x/gov tally_params.quorum from 0.334 to the Hub's value of 0.400

x/minter minter.inflation from 0.13 to 0.20

“blocks_per_year”: “6311520” was changed to “blocks_per_year”: “4360000”

Genesis Finalized

Now that RND Inc and the Regen community have performed extensive audits and testnets, we are ready for our much anticipated launch to mainnet! This is a very exciting time for everyone involved and we couldn’t be happier!
